The program helps create a bridge between the academic world and the business community.<\/p>\n<p>Executives in residence undertake a variety of activities, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing lectures as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/hands-on-learning\/insights-from-experts\/\">Insights From Experts<\/a> program<\/li>\n<li>Speaking to graduate and undergraduate classes<\/li>\n<li>Providing advice to faculty on their research<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring students on how to plan their careers<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/hands-on-learning\/don-center\/\">Elizabeth and Allen Don Center for Innovative Technology and Decision Sciences<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Meet Our Newest Executive in Residence<\/h2>\n<h3>Kristopher Amplo \u201900<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2213\" src=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/06\/Kristopher-Amplo-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Kristopher Amplo, a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with a dynamic career spanning construction, real estate, and philanthropy, has generously agreed to share his time and expertise as the 2025-2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/business\/\">Robert B. Willumstad School of Business<\/a> executive in residence.\u00a0As President and Owner of J.C. Steel Erectors Corp., he leads a commercial steel company of over 300 employees and $100 million in annual sales, delivering landmark projects such as UBS Arena, LaGuardia and JFK Airports, and TSX Broadway. His real estate ventures include multifamily developments, self-storage facilities, and vacation rentals across the U.S. Kristopher is also deeply committed to charitable work, founding the Amplo Family Foundation and co-founding the DezyStrong Foundation, while serving on the boards of multiple nonprofits. With prior experience as a history teacher and business owner, he holds degrees from SUNY Farmingdale, Adelphi University, and Stony Brook University, and currently contributes his expertise to several industry boards, including the Subcontractors Trade Association and Allied Building Metal Industries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What Is an Executive in Residence?
