The BCGU is focused on issues such the reversal of de-globalization and the significance of repressed narratives in history and public discourses.\u00a0 It supports curriculum development<\/a>, a lecture series, student and faculty research, faculty fellowships, and the annual Bhis\u00e9 Global Learning Experience<\/a> study abroad program.<\/p>\n

Swati and Bharat Bhis\u00e9 MBA \u201978 are excited to partner with Adelphi to create thoughtful and ethical global leaders.<\/p><\/div>\n

Mr. Bhis\u00e9 has created and led several global transportation and finance companies on three continents during which he has developed a first-hand understanding of global (mis)communications. Mr. Bhis\u00e9 credits Adelphi University as the first step in his career.<\/p>\n

Swati Bhis\u00e9 is an Indian classical dancer and theater performer, scholar, educator, film producer and director and Artist in Residence for Lincoln Center for 25 years.\u00a0 She has had many prominent performances in the United States, including the opening of the 40 th anniversary of the U.N. General Assembly in 1985.\u00a0 She has received Asia Society\u2019s Game Changer Award for 2023. Mrs. Bhis\u00e9 currently teaches women\u2019s empowerment seminars at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Together, Mr. and Mrs. Bhis\u00e9 have been lifelong supporters of various causes, especially gender and racial equality. Additionally, the couple has a deep commitment to global relations, and they intend for the Bhis\u00e9 Center for Global Understanding to making a lasting impact on Adelphi students<\/a> and to educate the next generation of global thinkers and leaders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
