U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of colleges and universities was released today, and Adelphi University in New York moved into the top 150 in the National Universities category, jumping four places. Adelphi also dramatically improved its position in recently released rankings from the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (up 27 spots), Money magazine (up 52 spots) and Niche (up 37 spots), while remaining on the selective Forbes list.

“It’s great that the upward trajectory of Adelphi is being recognized by these various rankings and guides,” said Kristen Capezza, M.B.A. ’12, associate vice president for enrollment management at Adelphi. “The fact that we are welcoming the largest and one of the most diverse incoming classes in our history this fall with notable growth in our out of state and international student populations is perhaps the best indicator that students and their families understand the value that our personalized approach to education creates. Adelphi is attracting increasing numbers of students from out of state and internationally.”

In the U.S. News & World Report, Adelphi moved to No. 147 in the National Universities category, up from 151 last year. It was also ranked in other categories, including No. 86 among Best Value Schools.

Last week, the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education released its 2019 rankings, which are based on student success and learning. Adelphi moved up 27 spots to the 251st position among more than 1,000 colleges and universities ranked.

In August, Money magazine released its new Best Colleges for Your Money list, placing Adelphi at 251, an improvement of 52 spots from the previous year. Money evaluates “the 727 Best Colleges in America” for its annual rankings.

Forbes magazine once again included Adelphi in its list of America’s Top Colleges. Niche, a rankings organization, released its newest assessments, moving Adelphi up 37 spots to 329 out of 2,800 institutions evaluated and included Adelphi on lists of top colleges for the performing arts, nursing and criminal justice.
