TD Bank/Adelphi University Financial Literacy Program

Adelphi University is proud to partner with TD Bank in hosting this financial literacy program for high school students.

The program is designed to help high school juniors from underserved Long Island neighborhoods in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We especially welcome participants from areas including Hempstead, Freeport, Roosevelt, Brentwood, and Wyandanch. The program will be comprised of hands-on instruction to understand key concepts in financial literacy. The instructors may use different modes of instruction such as collaborative discussion with interactive exercises, online platforms, and discussions with industry professionals.

At the end of this program, the participants will acquire the necessary knowledge to be financially literate and have a solid foundation to navigate their own financial situation in their adult life. The training will focus on the participants’ short-term and long-term financial health, while also creating interest among them in pursuing a career in finance-related fields.

To participate in this non-residential program, a student must be a rising high school senior in good academic standing and be able to commute to Adelphi University’s beautiful campus in Garden City.

Deadline for all nominations is Friday, May 31, 2019.
The program is free of charge to all student participants and includes complimentary breakfast and lunch.
