Creative and scholarly work is developed through close faculty mentorship and presented in formal and informal performance settings.<\/p>\n<p>Students may pursue research and creative work by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Engaging with faculty mentors<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Developing choreographic or performance-based projects<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Registering for independent study or research credits with approval<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students present their work at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/conference\/\">Adelphi Scholarship and Creative Works Conference<\/a> as well as through performances, festivals and professional opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/research\/undergraduate\/\">SPARK Center<\/a> (Scholars Pursuing Arts, Research and Knowledge), students can receive funding, mentorship and support for creative research, choreography, performance projects and conference participation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dance students engage in studio-based training alongside creative inquiry, developing technical proficiency, artistic voice and collaborative practice across contemporary and classical forms.
