The Office of Alumni Relations team has developed a list of FAQ below in an effort to keep you informed. As the situation changes from day to day, you may have more questions and we will do our best to answer them.

One thing will remain constant—how important YOU and our 116,000 alumni are to Adelphi now and always.

We are actively monitoring the coronavirus issue and developments around the world and especially here at home. Please visit the Coronavirus Information and Status page for Adelphi’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For now, all administrative offices will remain open and operational at Adelphi, though shifting to a primarily online workforce, relying on a mix of remote employees and only essential on-site employees to ensure continued operations.

Long Island entered into Phase Four of New York Forward in early July, the final phase of reopening New York. Abiding by state guidelines, Adelphi plans to reopen for in-person learning for Fall 2020. For more information on Fall 2020, please read the President’s latest message.

As regions across New York State begin to cautiously reopen with the guidelines provided by NY Forward, Adelphi teams continue to plan and execute our phased return to campus.

Alumni, visitors, trainees, guests and pets are not allowed on campus during the early phases of return.

Unfortunately, no. Until it is safe to physically gather as a community, all regional gatherings have been postponed but we have many virtual opportunities planned including our Chapter Chats. Check the alumni calendar of events for updates on programming.

You can always connect with your classmates and peers on Adelphi alumni social media accounts and platforms.

Due to a ban on gatherings in New York State, and the requirement of our state and county departments of health to maintain social distance, we are unable to hold in-person events as planned.

Please save the dates and join us virtually for Adelphi SpiritWeekend on October 23-25 and the Women’s Leadership Conference on November 7.

As the University has transitioned to online learning and working remotely, the Office of Career and Professional Development continues to provide résumé and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, and job search techniques services without interruption.   1. Connect: Sign up for Alumnifire, Adelphi’s private, online career networking site to assist students in their career preparations and job searches.
  2. Lead: Volunteer to contact prospective and accepted students.
  3. Donate: Your financial gift to the Student Emergency Support Fund will address the immediate needs of students experiencing hardship as a result of COVID-19— and enable them stay on track to graduate.
