{"id":188,"date":"2024-07-02T15:05:23","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T15:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/advancement\/?page_id=188"},"modified":"2026-06-18T15:26:40","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T15:26:40","slug":"past-golf-classics","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/advancement\/signature-events\/golf-classic\/past-golf-classics\/","title":{"rendered":"Past Golf Classics"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span>2026 Golf Classic Highlights<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>On June 15, 2026, Adelphi University\u2019s 38th Annual Golf Classic brought together alumni, friends, sponsors and supporters for a memorable day of golf and philanthropy at Nassau Country Club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The event raised more than $245,000 in support of the <strong>Adelphi Baseball Champions Fund<\/strong> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/giving\/adelphi-fund\/\">Adelphi Fund<\/a>, helping provide opportunities for current and future Panthers to learn, compete and succeed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This year\u2019s Golf Classic celebrated the enduring legacy and bright future of <a href=\"https:\/\/aupanthers.com\/sports\/baseball\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adelphi Baseball<\/a>. Guests heard inspiring stories from student-athletes and alumni about the lifelong connections, mentorship and sense of belonging that define the program. Willumstad School of Business.<\/p>\n<p>Through his mentorship, Gupta has shaped the lives of Adelphi students for nearly five decades. This year\u2019s honoree was Mark S. Davis \u201885, audit and assurance partner at Deloitte and Touche, LLP. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Davis is a highly accomplished leader with 38 years of diverse management and executive experience with Deloitte, the world\u2019s largest professional services firm. Davis received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from Adelphi University and is a past recipient of the University\u2019s Accountant of the Year award.The Davis family also established the <a href=\"https:\/\/securelb.imodules.com\/s\/1907\/lg23\/form.aspx?sid=1907&amp;gid=2&amp;pgid=418&amp;bledit=1&amp;dids=192&amp;appealcode=Golf2024MD\">Mark S. Davis \u201885 and Family Future Leaders in Accounting Endowed Scholarship Fund<\/a>, which will provide invaluable support to future generations of accounting students at Adelphi University.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Adelphi University\u2019s 36th Annual Golf Classic: Honoring Mark S. The event <strong>raised more than $180,000<\/strong> in support of Adelphi University and the Athletic Department.
