For majors only Provides seminar and practical experience in the observation, participation in, and critical analysis of various roles and functions of Health care Information Technology professionals. Students will complete a minimum of 150 hours in practicum work during site visits. Upon completion of this course, the student is able to: 1. Integrate aspects of the advanced practice role of a HIT professional within an organization. 2. Compare how various health care information technology systems are organized and integrated. 3. Support the influences of human diversity on the capability and adaptability of the multicultural workforce within an informatics framework.
