Students must have their own soprano or concertukulele. Students will perform fundamental concepts of music as applied to the ukulele, including musical notation, proper technique, scales, chords, rhythm, repertoire, improvisation, and ensemble playing (such as online play-alongs). (Distribution Reqs:Arts) Students will be able to:1. Read and perform simple musical notation as well as play from lead sheets and simple ukulele tablature;2. Perform basic scales and chords;3. Improvise using scales and chords previously performed; and4. Perform solo and ensemble (virtual play-along) repertoire
