In 2011, the Retreat will be held the week of Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29 in the Adelphi University Alumni House. High school students attend from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Application Deadline: May 16, 2011
Directions to Alumni House
High schools are invited to nominate one exemplary high school junior to apply for the program. All admitted students will receive a full program scholarship, covering tuition, materials, and lunches for each day.
To apply, nominated students should submit the following:
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor describing your academic accomplishments.
- One creative writing sample (e.g., poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction). Please limit sample to 10 pages. Please include name on writing sample.
- Parental consent form.
