Adult Fitness Program
Sponsored by the Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness Institute, the Adult Fitness Program promotes exercise as preventive medicine. The program provides individualized evaluations and exercise programs in an effort to guide participants toward lifetime maintenance of physical fitness and health.

Recreation facilities including the Fitness Center and Arvilla E. Nolan swimming pool are open to all students, faculty, staff, administration and members of the Alumni Leisure Passport Club and Community Recreation Membership program.

Derner Center for Psychological Services
Resident therapists offer brief and long-term psychotherapy and psychological testing. Special services include psychotherapy for eating disorders, codependency, relationship impasses and anxiety. The strictly confidential services are available free of charge in Garden City and Manhattan.

Health Services Center
Registered nurses are on staff 24/7 during the academic semesters to provide health care information including immunization requirements, treatment, referrals, and emergency response to Adelphi students. The Center sponsors workshops on current health issues. All services are confidential.

Hy Weinberg Center for Communication Disorders
This comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility provides speech, language and audiological diagnostic evaluations and treatment services. The Center offers specialized programs covering a wide range of communication difficulties, including language/learning disabilities and hearing impairment.
Walk Adelphi Virtual Health and Wellness Center
The mission of the Health & Wellness Center at Adelphi University is to promote individual and group wellness among member of the campus and surrounding community through education, prevention, detection, intervention, and better access to comprehensive health resources.
Walk Adelphi Walk Adelphi
Participate in Walk Adelphi and take steps to improve your health. The program's sponsor, the Division of Student Affairs, is distributing pedometers to encourage everyone to take 10,000 steps a day. Get your pedometer and start walking!
