| Mark Kesselman is Professor of Political Science at Columbia University, specializing in the political economy of Western Europe and comparative labor movements. Since 1998 he has been co-director of the Columbia University Seminar on Globalization, Labor and Popular Struggles. He is the author of The Politics of Power: A Critical Introduction to American Politics, 4th ed. (with Alan Draper and Ira Katznelson, 2003) and the editor and co-author of A Century of Organized Labor in France: A Union Movement for the Twenty-First Century?
