The interdisciplinary teams will facilitate team building and leadership operations and finance by providing training in:

  • management and leadership skills;
  • collaborative decision-making techniques and communication skills;
  • strategic planning;
  • mission statements and bylaws development;
  • consensus building and conflict resolution;
  • Total Quality Management (TQM);
  • performance-driven budgeting models;
  • technology-based budget systems;
  • identifying funding sources; and
  • aligning resources with goals, program development, and resources.

outreach and capacity-building for parents
The interdisciplinary teams will facilitate empowerment and capacity-building for parents by:

  • developing a profile of the targeted parent community;
  • offering parent-to-parent empowerment training activities;
  • serving as liaisons with community resources; and
  • encouraging parents to view themselves as stakeholders.
