Adelphi University, founded in 1896, has a long tradition of service to the Long Island and New York City communities, particularly through its professional schools in education, business, social work, and clinical psychology.
This commitment is reflected in the University's proposed plan to provide academic support to the New York City Board of Education. In response to the Chancellor's Plan for School Leadership Teams, Adelphi's program will create two interdisciplinary teams of faculty who will serve as on-site collaborators with district superintendents, principals, teachers, parents, and leadership teams.
The goal of the program is to support the development of a Comprehensive Education Plan and performance-based budget, designed to improve teaching and learning. |
