1993 Adelphi Breast Cancer Program initiates a symposium on Breast Cancer and the Environment

1995 Hearing held at Adelphi to review breast cancer issues for African American women

1995 First Celebration of Survivorship, honoring the founding volunteers of the hotline

1997 Sisters United in Health/Hermanas Unidas en la Salud, outreach to underserved women of color, founded

1998 Adelphi Program awarded the New York State Innovation in Breast Cancer Early Detection and Research Award, non-profit organization category, from the New York State Department of Health

1998 First support group for men with breast cancer

1999 Number of volunteers reaches one hundred

2000 Produced Teens Talk About Breast Cancer video

2001 Adelphi Breast Cancer Program hosts Senator Clinton’s first Congressional Hearing on the environmental causes of cancer

2003 Paths to Wellness– A Complementary Workshop Series for Breast Cancer Survivors launched

2004 Collaboration with Nassau University Medical Center initiated; Adelphi Breast Cancer Program bilingual social workers provide services to underserved women diagnosed with breast cancer

2006 Adelphi Program receives the Long Island Business News’ Health Care Hero Award for Community Outreach

2007 Adelphi Breast Cancer Program awarded Organization of the Year from the Long Island Women’s Agenda

2009 Adelphi Breast Cancer Program receives Grantee of the Year award from the Greater NYC Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure

2010 Marks 30 years of service to New Yorkers
