Learning to Lead: Center for Nonprofit Leadership

Learning to Lead Program Description

Learning to Lead
What is Learning to Lead?
This dynamic Adelphi University certificate program focuses on developing the leader within yourself, the leader you need to be at work, and the one you plan to be in your community.  We offer interactive methods for developing leadership based on a collaborative style of learning.  The program combines the best of doing and discussing, with formal learning methods.  We’ve customized everything for a busy professional’s schedule.  The experience includes:
  • One live half-day morning session per month from September through June, in Garden City, Nassau’s central hub. The beautiful Adelphi University Campus is easily accessible by train, bus, or car.
  • Full access to the University’s library, recreation facilities, and online resources
  • Networking lunch sessions with program faculty or your choice of a take-away lunch on the go
  • Work and learn with our outstanding faculty and new colleagues

What will I learn?
We delve into critical nonprofit work-place issues and leadership challenges. Learning to Lead explores a range of topics:

  • Leadership development self-assessment, theory, styles
