Student Advisory Panel

In order to foster a professional dialogue among students and between students and faculty, the School of Education at the Manhattan Center convened a Student Advisory Panel in spring 2006. This panel, consisting of one representative and one alternate from each class, meets in two sections, one for Saturday students, one for Sunday students.

The School of Education would like to express deep thanks to that first Advisory Panel for setting an example for future ones and demonstrating the significant impact such a body can have on the workings of the Manhattan Center. Among other things, its efforts led to the creation of the first-ever School of Education, Manhattan Center New Student Orientation. A new Advisory Panel was elected from the spring 2007 Cycle III classes. We had a very successful and productive semester, focusing on enhancing communication between staff and students and between the School of Education offices in Garden City and at the Manhattan Center.
