Nursing
R.N. ASCEND Program
Beginning Fall 2007, registered nurses have the option of enrolling in ASCEND, the one-day per week R.N. to B.S. program. Designed to accommodate the schedules of working nurses, the program allows nurses to attend classes only one day each week. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible to enter this program.

The program also provides an easy transition into the graduate nursing program. Following the completion of the R.N. to B.S. program, students must apply for graduation. They may then apply for admission to one of the several Master of Science programs. Students in the ASCEND program follow a set plan of study to meet the degree requirements.

Graduate Programs at Manhattan
The graduate programs of the School of Nursing prepare nurses to meet the challenges and demands of the new frontiers in health care. Today's nurses are performing increasingly complex roles which require advanced knowledge, new skills, and specialized capabilities. Students in the Master of Science (M.S.) program can follow a course of study that prepares them for advanced practice, teaching, administration, and management.
