Transfer Students—Manhattan Program

Transfer students must fulfill all Adelphi University and School of Nursing requirements for admission. Typically, a student transferring into the School of Nursing at the Manhattan Center will have already completed the science prerequisites and general education requirements of the nursing curriculum.

Students wishing to transfer into the baccalaureate nursing program must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, have no more than one prerequisite science grade lower than C+ and successfully pass the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). The acceptable grade for a transfer of science credits is a C+ or better. The University’s admission committee will evaluate transfer credits. All transfer students are required to take the TEAS exam, which evaluates basic academic abilities. Students must achieve a minimum score as decided by the School of Nursing for entrance to the nursing program.

TEAS

Successful completion of the TEAS (Version V) entrance examination is a prerequisite to the School of Nursing B.S. program for transfer students. Read our frequently asked questions regarding the TEAS entrance exam.
