Boards of Directors and School Boards
Board One-on-One
Customized consulting services delivered at board meetings or full-day retreats. Consulting topics include leadership transition; strategic planning; resource development; identifying, cultivating, and recruiting new board members; and board governance. The Center can also work with specific board committees, such as fundraising, board development, strategic planning, and leadership transition.
From Challenge to Opportunity-Managing Leadership Transitions
Our four-part transition management program includes: The Transitioning Leader, The Organization, The Search, and The Hire. The Center can assist with all or a portion of the process.
Strategic Planning
Learn how to set the vision, develop the goals, and implement the plan that will bring your organization to where you want it to be. Determine criteria for how your organization’s success will be measured and evaluated.
Get on Board
Get on Board is one of our nonprofit services designed for people who are not on a board but would like to be. This program is the ideal way for employers to encourage and support employees to become more engaged in their communities. This program can be delivered at your place of business.
Team Coaching for the Board Chair and Executive
Our team coaching approach provides consultation for the board chair and executive, to facilitate the development of a productive relationship.
School Boards
As part of our nonprofit services, we offer customized training for Boards of Education on such topics as team and trust building, public relations, financial responsibilities, and dashboard technology.

New and Emerging Leaders
New Executive Director Network
"You're Not Alone Anymore!" is a series of 10 monthly roundtable, peer-to-peer discussions where new executive directors (less than three years in the position) can explore daily challenges, discuss board issues, and brainstorm topics such as fundraising, goal setting, and others. Participants may also avail themselves of Mentor Match.
Mentor Match
Gain insight and guidance from an experienced executive director through Mentor Match. Participants will be matched with a mentor in a related area who has more than five years experience as an executive director.
Learning to Lead
Learning to Lead is a nine-month, comprehensive leadership development certificate program for new and emerging leaders. Participants will be exposed to a variety of leadership perspectives while learning and understanding the characteristics of a good leader, exploring their own individual leadership style, and gaining practical skills for application in both their organization and community.

Executive Directors
Roundtable Forums and Workshops
Our leadership support network provides a venue where executive directors can gather and speak freely about the frustrations, challenges, and joys of working as an executive director in the nonprofit sector. The facilitator for the roundtables will be a resource who provides information on topics identified by the executives. A series of workshops will be held specifically addressing issues and challenges an executive director faces.
Executive Coaching
A one-on-one service designed to assist executive directors achieve their professional goals, improve personal performance and job satisfaction, and enhance their organization's effectiveness.
Job Posting Services
Posting of executive director job announcements is available free of charge on our web site.
Team Coaching
Our team coaching approach provides consultation for the executive and board chair, to facilitate the development of a productive relationship.

Consultants
Train the Trainer
This two day, intensive train the trainer program, prepares individuals for work in board consulting. Participants may include: executive directors preparing for a transition to consulting; individuals who work with nonprofit organizations and would like to enhance their knowledge of nonprofit boards and the latest trends and approaches; and consultants who would like to broaden their consulting expertise in the area of nonprofit boards of directors. Upon completing this course, participants may be able to offer their services through the Center.

The Center maintains a team of affiliated consultants with expertise in all areas of nonprofit management and experience with all types and sizes of nonprofit organizations.

Strategic Alliances
Strategic Alliances provide opportunities to better serve clients and customers, bring in needed resources, and build stronger organizations. Strategic Alliances span a spectrum of possibilities from partnering on a program to sharing back-office services to consolidating.
