The Long Island Center for Nonprofit Leadership is pleased to announce its partnership with the Allstate Foundation in offering its Economics Against Abuse FREE training opportunity to nonprofit domestic violence and women’s service organizations in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties. Designed to help advance the financial literacy of victims of domestic violence, the innovative curriculum of Economics Against Abuse has been a successful tool in helping domestic violence victims break the cycle of abuse.

The Economics Against Abuse initiative is a train-the-trainer model program that provides an opportunity for professionals of domestic violence and women’s service organizations to directly deliver this financial empowerment curriculum training directly to clients of their organizations. The initiative’s five subject modules cover understanding financial abuse, financial fundamentals, credit basics, creating financial foundations, and developing budgeting strategies.
