About the SpeakersJames Hallowell joined Peacelinks Sierra Leone in 1990's and later became Program Coordinator for the organization in 2001. Currently James is a final year student in the Bachelor of Arts Program, Departments of History and Sociology, Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone. He is widely traveled and has represented Sierra Leone and Peacelinks at international meetings in Africa Asia, Australia Europe and the United States.
Gistam Sakhaeva Germanova is a Project Officer at Reliance, a Chechen NGO, which has operated since the beginning of the second war in Chechnya in 2001. The main goal of Reliance is to provide assistance to the most vulnerable population of the Chechen Republic, including land mine victims, single women, widows and persons with disabilities. Reliance helps their needs in a sustainable and appropriate way in order to minimize the impact of the conflict in Chechnya on their lives. Both, James and Gistam are currently international guests of the International Center for Tolerance Education,
