The Levermore Global Scholars Program has established several "Awards of Distinction" for LGS Juniors and Seniors.

These awards of $500 each will be distributed at the annual LGS end of the year awards ceremony.  The 2009 event is scheduled for late April.

Eligible LGS upper classmen will be asked to submit their applications for the 2009 awards from April 1—April 15, 2009.

Criteria for Eligibility:

1. LGS Junior status or above as of Spring 2009;
   
   
2. Successful completion of all required LGS courses for either three or four years of study. Students who transferred to LGS during or after the end of their Freshman year are eligible to apply provided they completed all subsequent requirements;
   
   
3. A minimum 3.5 GPA in all LGS courses and a minimum overall 3.0 GPA;
   
   
4. Successful completion of one of the following:
   
   • a semester or summer internship relevant to LGS objectives,
   • active participation for a minimum of one year in a community-based LGS initiative,
   • a semester or summer academic study abroad program.
