Introduction to the LLP
The Levermore Global Scholars Program grooms next-generation leaders by offering its scholars a unique opportunity to learn, reflect, and lead through civic and professional engagement in community projects, global internships and study abroad.

Goals of the LLP
Specific goals of the Levermore Leadership Program are to help our scholars:
  • to learn about the nature of specific local and global social, economic, political and cultural problems and the reasons for their emergence and persistence;

  • to contextualize their academic studies with practical, hands-on experience;

  • to develop their leadership skills;

  • to establish professional networks at home and abroad

  • to further their career goals and development.

Structure of the LLP
t the beginning of the LGS studies the Levermore Scholars gain invaluable experience by undertaking community internships in various Long Island and NYC-based organizations. With growing maturity, skills, and academic knowledge the Levermore Scholars are well prepared to engage in professional internships at home and abroad during their junior and senior years.

The Global Scholars engage in credited internships, study abroad and co-curriculum activities as part of the Levermore courses’ requirements and as independently pursued leadership practicum at home and abroad. The Levermore Leadership Program currently includes:
