Ross Jandrew is an Adjunct Professor in the Levermore Global Scholars Program at Adelphi University. Ross was a 2008 Teach for America Corps member and continues to teach English Language Arts within the New York City Department of Education. He has been a valuable member of the Principal's Cabinet in his school since 2008 and also has directed the Middle School Teachers' Team, excelling in the field of educational leadership. He recently received "Principal's Recognition of Dedicated Faculty" for 2011. While teaching full-time, in 2009 Ross also co-founded Dialogue Beyond Borders, Inc., an emerging Long Island non-profit that strives to promote tolerance, defend human rights, and advance greater understanding among diverse communities. He currently serves as Deputy Director on its Board of Directors. In this role, he oversees the development and implementation of DBB’s Human Rights Education Curriculum. Ross is an active member of the National Council of Teachers of English and the United Federation of Teachers. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Adelphi University where he studied English (Creative Writing) and Communications (Media Studies). He completed his M.S.Ed. in Middle and High School Education with a concentration in English from the City University of New York's Lehman College.
