Rock It and Wrap It Up (Rock It)

Adelphi's Rock It and Wrap It Up can only accept certain types of food and drink. Eligible food must also be packaged according to the Guidelines set by rockandwrapitup.org.
Materials can be found in the Levermore Global Scholars Lounge, Science Room 103.
ARW Staff may use their discretion about which foods can or can't be accepted. Although The Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Law protects the donor, ARW Staff may turn down anything that may pose even the slightest health risk.
Frozen foods can not be stored On campus, and must be brought immediately to the Receiver. ARW Staff may go in pairs or more to transport the food.
In order for food to be Eligible for donations, it must:
- Not have been Served
- Not left unrefrigerated for a long length of time
- Not be extremely perishable
- Still be sealed
- Fully cooked or properly frozen
- Non-Alcoholic
Donated food falls into two categories.
- Refrigerated
- Wrapped air tight in Saran Wrap
- Bagged
- Placed in LGS's refrigerator
- Boxed and brought immediately to Receiver
- Non Refrigerated
- Bagged or Boxed
- Brought to Receiver
All ARW Staff handling food and beverages must wear latex gloves.
