Adelphi is dedicated to expanding global awareness through education and communication.
Through co-sponsored conferences with the United Nations, study abroad opportunities through Adelphi's Center for International Education, and sponsored events of the International Initiatives Committee, Adelphi extends its commitment as an "engaged university" in the world community.
Adelphi builds on its long tradition of international interest and service. In 2003, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations of the Department of Public Information (DPI) of the United Nations approved Adelphi as a non-governmental organization (NGO).
Cultural events, courses, and co-curricular activities, including the acclaimed Ambassador Series sponsored by the International Initiatives Committee, are designed to broaden knowledge and foster dialogue about global issues.
Students participating in the Levermore Global Scholars Program have the opportunity for community involvement at the local, national, and international level.
