A Personalized Education

The faculty and administration are dedicated to providing individualized attention for students with different goals—those who are seeking to advance their careers, changing careers or returning to the workforce after raising a family. In this supportive environment, they guide and prepare students for direct, contemporary practice.

The small class sizes ensure personal attention from the faculty, who are leaders in the field of social work. Faculty members are actively engaged in scholarly research, the development of social policy, and the promotion of social activism.

The program offers many benefits to help and encourage students including:

classes offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings at times convenient to working students
staff members to act as a liaison to Adelphi's main Garden City campus
on-site financial aid, admissions and academic advisement
individualized field placement advisement and internship planning with a field coordinator
partnership with Poughkeepsie Public Library for full library and reference services.
