The Master of Science in nursing education prepares students as nurse educators competent to function in a variety of educational and healthcare settings, but primarily to assume responsibilities as faculty members in baccalaureate nursing programs. As students develop in this advanced practice role, they will acquire knowledge, skills and values related to:

  • Teaching and learning
  • Instructional design
  • Assessment and measurement strategies
  • Curriculum development implementation
  • Evaluation in nursing education.
