Campus Wide Multi-Drive
How do you make a difference?

Please join us for our 3rd Annual Health Fair on April 11, 2012. The theme of this year's fair is Make A Difference!

We will be holding a campus wide multi-collection drive to benefit different organizations that strive to make a difference in the lives of so many! Thank you to everyone who sent requests to support your favorite organizations.

There are so many worthy organizations out there that exist to better the lives of the individuals they service. We were able to choose 10 worthy causes! Start collecting now through your department, club, team, organization or individually! All items will be brought to the drop off site in the Center for Recreation and Sports on the day of the fair, April 11. Meet representatives of these organizations and help Adelphi Make a Difference!

Here are the drives:

Cell Phones for Soldiers (PDF 242KB) - donate your old cell phones so soldiers can call home!

The INN - donate non-perishable foods to be given to the hungry and homeless on Long Island

Dress for Success - Women who are trying to turn their lives around and get back into the work force need your gently used costume jewelry, shoes, scarves and purses!

Aveda Beauty Concepts (PDF 1.2MB) - did you know that plastic bottle caps can not be recycled if they are left on your water bottles? Take the caps off and collect them and Aveda will make sure they get recycled properly!

Lions Eye Bank for Long Island - donate your old reading glasses and help Lions help people who need eye tissue transplantation and research and education for the advancement of eye care!

TerraCycle - Don't throw out your old shampoo and conditioners! Empty beauty products and plastic toiletry bottles take up space in landfills, let's recycle them properly and start collecting them today!

TerraCycle - Do you have old pairs of rubber flip flops? Donate them to be used to build playgrounds for children.

Camp Abilities - Donate your old sporting equipment to this sport camp for blind and visually impaired children! They need helmets, knee and elbow pads, wrist guards, roller blades, baseball bats and tees, shot put and measuring tape.

Hope for Youth - Donate boys clothing from 6 months to 21 years to help this boys home and their youth.

New Orleans Liberation Academy- Do you have school supplies, folders, binders, pens, rulers, etc.? If you don't need it, New Orleans schools do!
