A Mindfulness-Based Approach to Stress Reduction
with Jonathan Jackson, Ph.D.
This talk will introduce you to mindfulness, the practice of developing heightened awareness of your thoughts and actions in the present,without judgment. Mindfulness practice has been shown through clinical research to reduce stress; ease afflictive emotions such as anxiety, depression, and anger; relieve physical pain; and help regulate compulsive behaviors such as overeating.

Dr. Jackson is a clinical psychologist and Director of the Center for Psychological Services at the Derner Institute.
