Academic Programs

 

The Adult Academic Programs in University College provide students who are balancing careers and families the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree.

Since 2006, the Hauppauge Center has offered the ASCEND program for registered nurses pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Designed to accommodate the schedules of working nurses, ASCEND allows nurses to attend classes only one day each week.

The Center also offers graduate courses leading to the M.S.W., M.A. in General Psychology, M.A. in School Psychology, M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, M.A. with a concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and an M.B.A. with specialization in Human Resource Management. M.S.W. students can also pursue an Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management.

R.N. to B.S. Nursing Program

The ASCEND program, for registered nurses pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing, enhances the nurse’s role in health promotion, long-term care, research, advocacy, teaching, and management.
