To All of the Adelphi Community:
For the third time, Adelphi will be participating in National Take Back Drug Day, Saturday, September 29th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Drop off will take place in the U.C. lobby and open to all members of the Adelphi employee community including family and friends. This valuable opportunity will enable each one of us to safely dispose of unused or expired medications. In addition, some of the items that we normally keep in our medicine cabinets, including OTC drugs and pet medications, can be disposed of and removed from our homes without further contamination to our water supply.
Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment. Consider dropping off all expired or unused drugs on Saturday, September 29, 10:00 – 2:00 pm.
In the event you cannot drop off on Saturday, Public Safety has a box set up for your convenience on Friday from 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 a.m. The 'early' drop off location is located in the public safety office in the lower level of Levermore Hall.
For an added bonus, all employees who participate in National Take Back Drug Day on Friday, September 28th, have permission from Human Resources to wear jeans to work.
Please visit www.dea.govfor more information regarding National Take Back Drug Day or to read about other ways to understand more about prescription drug abuse.
