Born and raised in Northern Ontarion, Canada I was introduced to the game of ice hockey at a young age thanks to parents who created our outdoor community ice rink. Thanks to several incredible volunteer coaches over years of travel youth sports, I was very fortunate to have the ability to play professional hockey in France and Sweden for 2 years. When I moved to Long Island I was with the NHL New York Islanders organization for 8 years as a practice goalie and then helped with their youth development programs here on Long Island for over 20 more years. Our efforts extended globally with a NHL initiative to promote the NHL world wide and this allowed our staff to go to China and Australia to educate their youth programs on how to start ice hockey programs for all ages. The last 10 years I have worked for the NHL New York Rangers learn to play hockey program in Elmsford and Saratoga Springs.
