American Popular Culture and Literature with Specialization in Film Studies as well as Motion Picture producing and screenwriting.

Executive producer TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, DA, PATTI ROCKS and SPIKE OF BENSONHURST. He has also produced movies for television including FIRESTORM (ABC), TARGET EARTH (ABC) and ABOVE SUSPICION (USA Network).

Honors and Accomplishments

Election into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (1986). Recipient of the Independent Spirit Award for Outstanding Contribution to the American Independent Film Arts (1986).Recipient of the Luminas Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Image of Women in Film (1987). Recipient Life Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions to Film Education, Temecula Arts Festival 2002.
Recipient Ray and Pat Browne Award of Excellence for Outstanding Contributions to American Culture, American Culture Association March 2005. Named the Fourth “Master Teacher” in the History of the American Film Institute Conservatory, 2005.
Recipient of University of Miami William R. Butler Award for Support of Student Government, 2007.Special Recognition, Online News Association, 2010.
