Grants/Sponsored ResearchLymphedema and quality of life, sleep, and perceived sexuality. This online survey is collaborated with Dr. Mei Fu at New York University School of Nursing. The Purpose of this study is to investigate symptom experience and symptom management strategies and the impact of lymphedema on quality of life, sleep, and perceived sexuality among breast cancer patients.
The Multidisciplinary research Initiation Grant sponsored by Stony Brook University (Sept. 2008 - Sept. 2009). The $25,000 grant will help to develop and pilot test an innovative, culturally appropriate intervention tailored to match Chinese American women¡¯s decisional style, knowledge about and access to mammography screening.
The Community Research Grant funded by Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and ONS Foundation (2004-2006). The $10,000, two year grant was to explore how Chinese American women made the decision of seeking care after discovering a breast symptom.
The Delta Mu Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International grant. This grant provided supplemental funding ($1,200) for my dissertation which was also funded by ONS Foundation (see above)
