Philosophy
The Center believes that children learn best when they are respected and encouraged to be active participants in the learning process.
Curriculum
The center embraces an emergent, developmentally appropriate, constructivist curriculum. Teachers and children research ideas, questions and interests. Together teachers and children are active explorers, building on and expanding knowledge and understanding through self-discovery and adult supported guidance. Aligned with best practices in early childhood education the program emphasizes learning content that enhances children’s cognitive and literacy development. A strong focus on the acquisition of essential social emotional competencies and the dispositions needed for life long learning allows your child to experience a positive, supportive environment to learn in and grow with.
Class Size
A small group size with a maximum of 10 children ensures your child will be well known by the teacher.
Extended Child Care Hours
The kindergarten will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Extended hours for child care are offered in the morning from 8 a.m to 9 a.m. and in the afternoon from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Two healthy snacks are included during the day. Lunch is provided by each family.
