  • There is a non-refundable $15 fee per bra to enter Creative Cups.  If you are submitting your registration and check by mail, make the check payable to: Adelphi Breast Cancer Program. Please include the title of your bra on the registration form. You may also pay through our online registration form.

  • A new, padded 36C bra with underwire must be used as a base for your design.

  • There are no parameters for theme or design. The more embellishments, different techniques, and different mediums used, the more attractive the Creative Cups design will be to exhibition visitors and auction participants. However, all Creative Cups bras must be created in good taste. Adelphi reserves the right to refuse to display any designed bra.

  • The entire bra (including front, back, both straps and sides MUST be completely covered, painted, or embellished) so that no natural fabric is exposed. You do have the option to remove the straps. Depending on the entry, whether suspended or sitting, it is important for the inside of the bra to also be attractive.

  • The bra may be hand-painted, dyed, pieced with fabric, embellished with beads and jewelry; and so forth. Decorations may not be perishable. Please do not stitch the back of the bra closed.

  • Each bra MUST include the designer’s name and the title of the bra attached to the inside of the bra with a name tag.

  • Each bra MUST include a paragraph (250 words or less) on what inspired the creation. The story can share the designer’s inspiration or a dedication to a special individual. The Creative Cups committee encourages designers to connect their stories in some way to breast cancer.

  • Please make certain that your bra is designed to withstand shipping and a limited amount of careful handling as the committee will not be able to make repairs.

  • All bras MUST be received by November 1, 2008, to be included in the 2009 Creative Cups Exhibition.

  • Adelphi reserves the right to refuse any bra that does not meet the guidelines listed above.
