May 1 is the first day that graduating students can pick up their tickets for Commencement 2008. It is also the first day of Adelphi’s Graduation Fair, which continues on May 2. This will be your best opportunity to get all your Commencement shopping done in just one stop! The AU Bookstore in Garden City will not only carry your required graduating attire, but you will also be able to purchase souvenir tassels, diploma frames, and all your Adelphi apparel and alumni memorabilia. Representatives from Herff-Jones and Balfour, the leading retailers in the college ring business, will be there, along with diploma frame experts Framing Success...not to mention our very own Adelphi Alumni Association.
In a nutshell, this is how your day should go: On May 1, first pick up your Commencement tickets at the Panthertainment Booth in the University Center. Next, head down to the Bookstore and purchase your cap and gown package. While you’re down there, you can conveniently pre-order your class ring, purchase your diploma frame, get all your Adelphi alumni gear, and sign up for the Alumni Association. Giveaways and raffles will be going on during the two days of the Grad-Fair. While the Grad-Fair is only on May 1 and 2 in Garden City, students will be able to purchase apparel up until Sunday, May 18.
Manhattan Center Graduation Fair
Thursday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 7 at 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Adelphi’s Manhattan Center Lobby
Students who wish to pick up their Cap & Gown packages at the Manhattan Center Graduation Fair must pre-order and pay for their packages. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase Adelphi merchandise, memorabilia, class rings and diploma frames.
