Adelphi University Commencement 2014
Graduation and Commencement may sound like they're one and the same, but these terms refer to two different events. Graduation is the process of being awarded a degree. Commencement is the ceremony—with caps and gowns and "Pomp and Circumstance"—that celebrates graduates receiving their degrees. Participating in Commencement does not automatically mean you have received your degree. You need to apply for both graduation and Commencement. If you don't apply for graduation, you will not receive your diploma or your degree, even if you've completed all the degree requirements. The deadline to apply and have your name appear in the Commencement program is March 26, 2014. If you miss it, you still have until May 1, 2014, to register for graduation, but your name will not appear in the Commencement book.
Apply for graduation online by logging in to eCampus and choosing CLASS under the Services section. Once in CLASS, on the left menu choose "My Graduation and Commencement." You also have the option to download the printable Adelphi application for graduation (PDF 66KB) .
You will then have the option to register for Commencement by filling out the online Commencement application.
Please see our FAQs if you are credits short of graduation.
