Adelphi offers tomorrow’s educators, psychologists, and social workers the chance to interact with children on their level and learn how to foster even brighter futures for them. Alice Brown Early Learning Center For more than 32 years, the Adelphi University Child Activity Center has been dedicated to providing a nurturing, supportive, and educational environment for the young children of area residents and Adelphi faculty, students, and staff.  While the center’s programs are a source of pride, its facilities are not. The two-room structure is outdated and lacking amenities such as dedicated art and music spaces that are now standard in quality preschool education. The new Alice Brown Early Learning Center will feature several age-appropriate classrooms as well as indoor and outdoor play spaces, ensuring that its facilities will match its exceptional program. Adelphi University has long recognized the importance of excellence in early childhood education. The Alice Brown Early Learning Center will further enhance established academic programs in early childhood education, psychology, and health care, as well as community partnerships such as the Institute for Parenting.
