Inspired by the Star of David, I developed the idea for a triangular pillar, twisted in a dramatic organic motion. The six-pointed star is created by superimposing two inverted triangles, and when viewed from above the pillar forms the Jewish Star.
So what do the two triangles of the pillar stand for? The triangle pointing downward is the female form pointing towards the earth; the other is the male form pointing towards the sky. It has a similar symbolic meaning as the Yin-Yang symbol, a combination of the female and male forces.
