Stone can contain so many possibilities of form. It has been used by sculptors of many cultures for centuries. To me, the opposite of stone is waterstone does not contain wateryin-yang.
It is a challenge to express the presence of water in a stone sculpture.
The polished surface of a stone is like water and we know of the form of a well, with its sides of stone. “Down there is the water and in the mirror you see the sky.”
