I aim to create a sense of a "private," intimate space within the larger natural world or "public" environment.

The Greek word "clepsydra" refers to intermittent fountains or ebbing wells, and was also an instrument used by the ancients to measure time by the movement of water - a water clock. I think that the buoyant fluidity and sinuous visual "music" of this sculpture is reflected in the title.
