My intention in using a vehicle is that it has the meaning of “carrier” and provides a way of presenting sculpture that is not limited to one location. The vehicle is interactive. The highway is life for many people. It is, in a way, an arena of life. It can also be a stage for art. The repetition of threatening forms (sharp, pointed cones) on a movable object creates a changed environment. Driving “Cone Car #14” creates a series of responses and reactions from other drivers and possibly the authorities. It creates its own consequences. Art and reality merge.
